Strengthening International Cooperation for Disaster Resilience

CEO NDRMF, Amir Khan Goraya attended engagement with the Admiral Renato Rodrigues de Aguiar Freire, Chief of Staff of the Brazilian Air Force, at the National Emergencies Operations Centre (NEOC), National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Pakistan, Islamabad, provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on disaster preparedness, early warning systems, and technology-driven emergency response.

🔵Brazil’s experience in disaster monitoring and early warning, including the work of its National Centre for Monitoring and Early Warning of Natural Disasters (#CEMADEN), offers valuable insights into strengthening risk-informed preparedness and timely action.
Recent flood emergencies in southern Brazil have further underscored the importance of effective warning systems and coordinated, #community centred response.

For #NDRMF, such engagements reinforce the importance of international knowledge exchange and strategic partnerships in advancing #disasterriskfinancing, strengthening #resilienceinvestments, and protecting vulnerable communities. By connecting risk information with forward-looking investment and preparedness, Pakistan can move towards a more proactive and resilient future.
