Overview
In development work, a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system represents all the things that need be undertaken before, during and after programme implementation, in order to track and measure progress in achieving the intended results. More specifically, M&E system is a series of policies, practices and processes that enable the systematic and effective collection, analysis and use of monitoring and evaluation information. A well-functioning M&E system is a critical part of good project / programme management and accountability.M&E System of National Disaster Risk Management Fund (NDRMF) is comprehensively outlined in its M&E Manual developed on the basis of international standards and best practices and approved in the 13th Board Meeting held on 20th June 2019.
The M&E Manual provides a holistic and structured overview of NDRMF’s M&E system, processes, data requirements and multiple levels monitoring and reporting functions. It describes how NDRMF monitors and evaluates its program components / activities as well as how NDRMF fulfills its monitoring and reporting requirements to the donors.
