Conclusion of discussions with a summary of key points and outlining the next steps for collaboration.

• Share knowledge and experiences related to decarbonization initiatives in Pakistan’s Oil & Gas sector.

• Discuss the development of a National Framework/Strategy for Decarbonization, outlining the terms of reference, budget, technical assistance, and NDRMF's role in supporting the process.

Role of NDRMF:

As a national entity dedicated to reducing risks from climate-related disasters and fostering resilience, NDRMF recognizes that decarbonization efforts in key sectors such as oil and gas are crucial to mitigating the long-term impacts of climate change.

By organizing this round table on “Decarbonization Pathway for Oil & Gas Sector in Pakistan” from NDRMF’s platform to engage effectively with the relevant stakeholders to further strengthen link between NDRMF and Oil & Gas sector of Pakistan and exchange relevant experiences, ideas and plan way forward to effectively implement the Oil and Gas Decarbonization Charter (OGDC).

NDRMF and OGDCL seeks to play a proactive role in supporting and guiding Pakistan’s oil and gas sector in aligning with global climate goals, specifically through the implementation of the Oil & Gas Decarbonization Charter (OGDC), introduced at COP28.
