The Chief Minister (CM) was apprised of the ongoing projects in GB including Mitigation of Disaster Risks, Strengthening of GB Emergency Services (Rescue 1122) in all Districts of Gilgit-Baltistan, Promoting Integrated Mountain Safety in Northern Pakistan, and Building Resilience to Disasters & Climate Change.
NDRMF is supporting the GB government in the number of disaster risk reduction and mitigation efforts with interventions mainly focused on areas of Flood Protection Works, School Structural Retrofitting, Early Warning System, Emergency Response machinery/equipment (Rescue 1122), and Community Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) amounting to PKR 1.6 billion.
CM appreciated NDRMF’s efforts and support. CEO NDRMF, Mr. Bilal Anwar assured to scale up the support to the Government of GB.
