In development work, a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system represents all the things that need be undertaken before, during and after programme implementation, in order to track and measure progress in achieving the intended results. More specifically, M&E system is a series of policies, practices and processes that enable the systematic and effective collection, analysis and use of monitoring and evaluation information. A well-functioning M&E system is a critical part of good project / programme management and accountability.M&E System of National Disaster Risk Management Fund (NDRMF) is comprehensively outlined in its M&E Manual developed on the basis of international standards and best practices and approved in the 13th Board Meeting held on 20th June 2019.

It describes how NDRMF monitors and evaluates its program components / activities as well as how NDRMF fulfills its monitoring and reporting requirements to the donors.
