Safeguards

The National Disaster Risk Management Fund’s environmental and social safeguard policies are the fundamental requirement for project financing. The main objective of safeguards policies is to prevent and mitigate undue harm due to projects on the people and their environment including climate change. These policies define the Fund Implementing Partners (FIPs) responsibilities for managing their environmental and social risks associated with their projects.
